Our JADBio Platform team works with researchers, universities and biotechnology institutions globally to offer our services directly through our UI platform or our API. We help our partners to integrate with our automated machine learning services. About us

JADBio-GNOSIS DA SA is an exciting, energetic, enthusiastic start-up company working on AutoML products and advanced machine learning consulting services. Having attracted investment funding to scale up its activities, the company launched its first product, JADBio, in 2021. JADBio-GNOSIS DA SA is a University of Crete start-up with partners in Greece, Denmark, and Germany.

About the position

We are currently looking for a backend developer to strengthen our development team. As a developer, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and operation of a performant, scalable, user friendly, highly available web-based environment. The software development in which the successful applicant will be involved has been the result of many years of our team’s work in the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence for data analysis.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 1+ years of backend development
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Java, Spring and REST
    • Docker
    • Version control tools (preferably Git)
    • Build automation tools (preferably Gradle)
    • Relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and familiarity with agile software development
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Fulfilled military obligations, where applicable

Optional:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience in the following:
    • Cloud computing services (preferably Azure)
    • Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform
    • CI/CD (preferably TeamCity)
    • Frontend development (preferably Typescript and Angular)
    • Python and Bash
    • Machine learning
